One of the first projects centers around a catalyst who is one of many incarnations of various aspects of elementary matrix foundations forming the universes as they are known.
In the first season she meets what will be a big basis of somewhat of an evolving unit of comrades, each of unique origins species and ideals. Sometimes they'll butt heads, strive away from the mainstream workings of the group and even sometimes work against eachother, intentionally or not... But together they'll traverse the places in their galaxy they already are familiar with, plus move unto more uncharted territories... And entities.
The girls lined up,being drilled at the academy
The protagonist, being a teenager, comes from somewhat of a hippie-esque laid back dad and a mother who was a heroine back in the day before being killed in a very bittersweet sacrifice of herself to save innocents and support the greater good (yeah pretty cliche' but theres alot more to it) in the pilot episode. The main character struggles with the responsibility of expecting familiarity from almost all those she knows in her homeland, and of course just wanting to be wild and be a kid while she can.
In the above caption, the protagonist is seen on the far left standing in lineup with her best friend, and arguable co-star of the series,Cocoa. Cocoa Kitty,as she hates being called,is oft the voice of reason (and sass) to many of the main characters crazier ideas and abrupt spurts of spontanuity.
Theres probably no delicate or politically correct way to put this,but... The protagonist's boyfriend, who isn't very much older than her is a prostitute. He's a male, hustling, goat blooded teen protstitute/wild youth/drifter who learned to fend for himself early on.
Ureo, the protagonist (yeah i know it took me a while to spit out her name) is one of the few,if only people that can still warm this young man's heart. Secretly, shes totally willing to go down the darker paths of life that hes already seen with him,to prove her feelings for him,but he'll have none of it. In a storybook mushy gushy type way,hes a protector to her as well as a lover...Even though they haven't really gotten to third base despite Ureo's curiousity and eagerness to experience "the more refined aspects of life" as a more sophisticated adult role model coined it to her a while back.
The second project draws on a much more elusive, intricate and introspective concept. A few key themes are at play here...Spirituality,reincarnation,and the idea of love and family ties transcending whatever whatever "powers that be" have planned.
The comic revolves around a "golden age of america" family man growing old and passing into whatever threshold lies beyond the wonderful world of mondane married suburban life and all the thrills therein.
He has a wife that died prior to him who he decides to seek out "on the other side",only to find out shes been reborn...Without her memory...As a guy. Now we've seen this concept or such implemented in different ways and in different tones but theres a bit of a twist, and thats that hes able to contact her as an adult through obscure means of communication,i.e. clicks and clanks, flashing lights, dreams and so on. He becomes a regular reunited member of the family living with the "girls" mother and her(as the reincarnated version of his wife starts trying to reassume "her" former identity the more that is found out)in some sense of harmony.
Things start to complicate as the reincarnated version of his wife begins to long for more than the "signs from beyond" they're getting, and her mother starts to become a bit ill and eventually winds up becomming familiar with the husband after she loses her body to a yet uncurable superbug.
In a sorrowful rage and confusion the reincarnate vows to break the boundary between the known consciousness of death and life, and this world and the other... In between traversing the everday complications of the real world, crazy come and go roomates,a streak of rash promiscuity and the age old struggle of getting off her ass to accomplish things in plain.
Three women from the same "Spiritual Tribe" relaxing on a brick rail
Another big player in this comic is the idea of communication in dreams and interpretation of such, and the feel of some portions of the sub conscious dreamworld being like a masked ball, where something can be someone,or someone can be someone else one wouldn't expect.
The third project isn't really a comic or anything so precise like that. It's an overall motivation to start making a few more high fuelled attempts at expanding the media and mainstream esoteric functions of some of my projects. Hopefully this pans out into something lucrative but then I'm not really the sort to be "profit driven",I play for pleasure not purchase per say to be frank on such things.
